I won’t bash February 14, the CUTE Special Day for many people. But if you’re single I know it can be hard, because everywhere you turn you see couples love-dovey on valentine’s day. Something about that day that brings out all sorts of feeling. So What if You’re Single On Valentine’s Day! Some people absolutely LOVE and stress Valentine’s Day while others don’t care or don’t think about it. Don’t be sad and walk around rolling your eyes all poopy face because you are single, embrace your singleness. I compiled a list of 10 things to do on Valentine’s Day if you’re single.
Although I’m married, I was once single and I spent many Valentine’s Day, alone without a boyfriend and I loved it. Even now being married, I’ve spent some Valentine’s days alone, because we’re either both working. I hate going out on the actual Valentine’s Day. I’m not a fan of v-day but I do enjoy spending a normal day at home with my son and husband if we don’t have to work
WARNING: The minute you step foot out of your house roses, chocolate hearts, teddy bears and Balloons are going to be all over the place in your face, everywhere you look. I can see it now the eyes are going to be rolling, don’t get mad focus more on you and how you want to spend this day. Have a date with yourself and shower your sexy a$$ with love. Don’t make this day “SAD”-Single Awareness Day. Just because you don’t have a boo, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Valentine’s Day.
1. Girls Night Out
You might have a friend or two that are in the same boat as you “ SINGLE”, and girl, there’s nothing wrong with being single. Make dinner reservations and enjoy a night out in the town and share the love of friendship over some cosmopolitan cocktails. I’m sure your night will be funny and memorable.
2. Pamper Yourself
If you been thinking about changing your hair color or getting a cut, boo go for it. Do that makeover, don’t be afraid do it. If hair and makeup is not your thing and you want to just relax, go to a spa and make it your day to pamper yourself. THIS IS YOUR DAY to shower yourself with LOVE.
3. Shopping
If you are planning on having a girls night out, Why not dress to impress and buy yourself a nice outfit. Treat yourself with some cute outfits you been eyeing.
4. Movie Night
If going out is not your thing, no worries boo relax and make it a chick flick day. Invite your friends and have a girls movie night. Get your wine ready, chocolates and some comfy pajamas. Make it a Sex and the City movie marathon or any funny chick flick movies you love on Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu. However, if you don’t feel like having any company over, that’s fine make it a solo movie night. It will be just you and your comforter.
5. Bubble Bath
Sometimes after a long day, we need some unwinding to do especially on Valentine’s Day. Set up the bathroom atmosphere for a relaxing bubble bath. Few scented candles and a glass of wine will set the mood to soak in the bathtub with bubbles.
6. Babysit
If going out on valentines day is just not your thing, and you have any friends or relative with kids that absolutely want to go out, why not volunteer to babysit? Believe me, you will make their day, if they can’t afford a sitter, they will appreciate it because sometimes parents do need that time to go out.
7. Clean & Organize
Don’t wait until spring to so dome spring cleaning. Clean & Organize your apartment or house. Tidy up the place and throw out things you just keep piling up and shred papers you no longer need. Change curtains, sheets and move furniture around. Give your home an extreme makeover.
8. Read a Book
We have gotten so involved in the modern technology that I know some of us haven’t picked up a book. Grab that book you been wanting to read and just sit in your couch with a glass of wine and read.
9. Travel
If you could afford to go away, then book a last minute trip. If you can’t afford to go away, check out winery not too far from you and spend your valentine’s day tasting wine.
10. LOVE YOURSELF
Don’t be too hard on yourself as to why you haven’t found the perfect man. First, “There’s no such thing as a perfect man”. Boo, as modern women are in today society we need to take our time and explore what’s out there. I have to say there are some characters out there. As a woman looking for love, you have to be careful and not put your heart out there to every man that you meet. Enjoy being single and embrace every moment you can. When the time is right, you will see God will put that man in your path and you will know that is meant to be.
Enjoy and have fun.
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day being single? What things did you do on the special V-day? let me know I would love to hear all about it.

Yes always important a girls night out.. I know how hard it is to go out when you have young kids. I use to have my friends come over and we had girls night. I had a set bed time for my son and by 7:30pm he was already sleeping… while my friends were over my house.
When I was single I used to make dinner for a group of other single gal pals and abnoxious amounts of champagne 🤣
Hubs and I just go out for dinner. I’ve never been a mushy valentines type gal.
